Singapore / Pretoria, South Africa — September 2026 — EchoVista Radar Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based radar and AI technology company, is pleased to announce its participation in Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2026, taking place from 16–20 September 2026 in Pretoria, South Africa.

AAD is one of the leading aerospace, defence and security exhibitions on the African continent, bringing together defence organizations, government representatives, system integrators, technology companies and industry professionals from around the world.

For EchoVista Radar, AAD 2026 represents an important opportunity to introduce its THINO next-generation compact AI-powered surveillance radar to the African defence and security market.

Introducing THINO

THINO is designed as a compact and highly deployable surveillance radar platform, combining X-band AESA radar technology with embedded AI capabilities to support modern low-altitude airspace and multi-domain surveillance requirements.

The system is designed to provide reliable detection and tracking of low-altitude targets, including small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), while offering a flexible architecture suitable for a range of fixed, mobile and integrated applications.

Potential applications include:

  • Counter-UAS and drone detection
  • Low-altitude airspace surveillance
  • Perimeter and border security
  • Critical infrastructure protection
  • Ground and air target surveillance
  • Mobile and rapidly deployable surveillance
  • Radar integration for broader security and defence systems

With its compact architecture and AI-enabled capabilities, THINO is being developed to address the growing need for practical and scalable surveillance solutions in increasingly complex low-altitude environments.

Expanding Technology Presence in Africa

Africa continues to see growing demand for advanced surveillance technologies capable of addressing evolving security requirements across borders, critical infrastructure, defence facilities, airports, ports and other strategic environments.

EchoVista Radar believes that effective surveillance solutions must be not only technologically advanced, but also deployable, scalable and adaptable to local operational requirements.

Through its participation in AAD 2026, EchoVista Radar aims to establish deeper connections with African defence organizations, security agencies, system integrators and technology partners, while exploring opportunities to support the region’s evolving surveillance and airspace-awareness requirements.
